EF Education Japan:

Using the Internet as a Resource for Task-Based Learning (day 2 of 2)

Date: Wednesday, March 8th, 2006 Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Speaker: Beata Schmid and Christopher McCormick

Description:
Join Dr. Beata Schmid and Dr. Christopher McCormick in an interactive online experience that you can participate in from your own private computer or join one of our live broadcasting sessions in the EF Japan office in Tokyo, Ebisu.

Rather than focusing on a specific grammar point (for example), TBL activities encourage students to use the language to solve a specific task. During this seminar, we will explore these two questions in more details:

  1. What is task-based learning (TBL) and why is it useful in language teaching?
  2. Why should we use the Internet in language teaching and specifically for TBL?

Organization: EF Education Japan

Cost: free

Venue: EF Japan office in Tokyo, Ebisu (live broadcasting session) or join online
