JALT Zoom for Professional Development:

ZPD in March

Date: Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 Time: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Speaker: Networking event

Description:
JALT's ZPD (Zoom for Professional Development) is a monthly, 1-hour networking event with several themed breakout rooms, including orientation for new and potential JALT members, getting published, teaching online, and more. Please join us for networking, informal chat, and in building a community of practice with JALT members and prospective members. We'll break up into smaller groups to discuss those topics and, as usual, we will also have an orientation for new officers and new members, tips and best practices in teaching, getting published, Eikawa & ALT Issues, Online teaching, Hybrid teaching, PhDs and more.

Something new in March: The PSG (Peer Support Group)'s writing workshop is becoming a regular feature of our monthly ZPD sessions! In January and February, PSG held 2 abstract editing workshops in preparation for the JALT international conference call submission deadline. They are now back every month to help us with abstracts, proposals, and a variety of academic writing you would like to publish or submit. Please note that they cannot go through long texts such as articles with you, as other authors would also like to receive their valuable feedback. If you have not written anything yet, but you have questions about research, publishing, finding resources or topics, or where to find calls for papers and presentations, please visit the getting published breakout room where you'll gain useful insights from experienced writers and editors.

Please join us for networking, informal chat, and in building a community of practice with JALT members and prospective members. This event is free and open to all.
