This month's event will be hosted by the amazing Global Englishes SIG. The JALT Global Englishes SIG is a platform focusing on diverse areas associated with Global Englishes, including World Englishes, English as a Lingua Franca and Multilingua Franca (ELF/EMF), Language Planning and Policy, among others. They are also announcing that the 3rd JALT Global Englishes SIG Conference will take place on December 6th. Presenters and other interested authors will have the opportunity to publish in our peer-reviewed Global Englishes Journal.

JALT's ZPD (Zoom for Professional Development) is a monthly, 1-hour online networking event with several themed breakout rooms, including orientation for new and potential JALT members, getting published, teaching online, and more. Please join us for networking, informal chat, and in building a community of practice with JALT members and prospective members. We'll break up into smaller groups to discuss those topics and, as usual, we will also have an orientation for new officers and new members, tips and best practices in teaching, getting published, Eikawa & ALT Issues, Online teaching, Hybrid teaching, PhDs and more.

This month we will also have a special breakout room for all JALT officers who are struggling with editing pages on the new website. Special thanks to your wonderful techies who have supported so many of us. You are doing an amazing job!
