Kumamoto Chapter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching has been active in the following cities:

Kumamoto JALT is a part of JALT. JALT (The Japan Association for Language Teaching, 全国語学教育学会) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement of language teaching and learning both within Japan and internationally.

The area served by the former Kumamoto Chapter of JALT is now being served by the NanKyu JALT Chapter, which serves south-eastern Kyushu (Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Kumamoto and Nagasaki).
