ZPD - JALT Zoom for Professional Development:

JALT ZPD in March

Date: Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 Time: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Speaker: Networking event

Description:
Our next ZPD session is taking place on Tuesday, March 31st at 8pm. The Lifelong Language Learning (LLL) will host this month's session. The Lifelong Language Learning (LLL) SIG focuses on language learning beyond compulsory education, particularly among adult learners. In Japan, increasing numbers of young, middle-aged, and older adults are studying languages as part of their lifelong learning journeys. Language learning supports personal growth, cultural understanding, and an enriched quality of life, while also contributing to active and healthy aging. The SIG provides a space for educators to share resources, research, and experiences related to teaching languages to adult learners. Get more information on https://living4now.org.

JALT's ZPD (Zoom for Professional Development) is a monthly, 1-hour networking event with several themed breakout rooms, including orientation for new and potential JALT members, getting published, teaching online, and more. Please join us for networking, informal chat, and in building a community of practice with JALT members and prospective members. We'll break up into smaller groups to discuss those topics and, as usual, we will also have an orientation for new officers and new members, tips and best practices in teaching, getting published, Eikawa & ALT Issues, Online teaching, Hybrid teaching, PhDs and more.
