Speaker: Bethany Lacy (Rikkyo University)

Description:
No matter a researcher's level of experience, preparing to submit an academic manuscript can be a daunting task. There are many academic journals to choose from, and each one has its own submission system and manuscript guidelines.

In this presentation, Bethany will discuss strategies for deciding which journal is the best fit for a manuscript. She will also explain what authors should expect when their manuscript is accepted or rejected.

Dr. Bethany Lacy currently serves as a lecturer at Rikkyo University in Japan. She has also designed courses for other universities in Japan and South Korea. Most of her research has focused on multimodal learning, social issues in language learning, project-based learning, and curriculum design. She is actively involved in JALT, being the Publications Board Chair and the Postconference Publication Editor-in-Chief.
