EFL instructors that are involved with 5th & 6th graders in Japanese elementary schools face many challenges due to the age of their students. Learners with a higher level of maturity may not be matched to their EFL level. This presentation discusses the problems and possible solutions of striking a balance between maturity level and appropriate EFL level.
