ELT CalendarConference Dates: September 27th - 28th, 2003
Location: Seisen University (Gotanda, Tokyo)

Welcome!

Following on the great success of the first Peace as a Global Language conference, we are happy to announce a successful second conference, held September 27th-28th, 2003 at Seisen University in Tokyo. We are grateful that the number of groups supporting PGL and its themes increased in 2003; you can find contact information for our sponsoring organisations here.

Thank you to everyone who attended. We are especially grateful to those of you who travelled from abroad, with the list of countries including India, South Africa, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Australia, the US and Canada. Over 300 participants attended the two-day conference and Friday evening special workshops, including more than 40 high school and university students. We shared an atmosphere of peace and support for looking at our responsibility in the world and ways to work together.

Work is now going on to take submissions for the PGL 2003 Proceedings CD and to form an organising committee for next year's conference. If you would like to be involved in organising next year's conference, please subscribe to our e-mail list. If you would like to keep up to date on announcements regarding next year's conference, or to initiate other discussions related to the conference themes, please subscribe to our mailing list for this purpose.

Thank you again for your interest and support. We hope that next year's conference will take us all a little closer to our dream of peace. See you next year!
