A visit to a mountainous village --with picturesque rural landscapes

Participants may choose from either a day trip or an overnight stay.

  • Date: September 23rd (Thursday)
  • Expenses : Day trip only : 5600yen〜6000yen (This includes transportation, lunch and the admission fee for the Farmhouse Museum
  • Overnight trip : the day trip expenses above PLUS SUPPER 800yen〜3000yen PLUS ACCOMMODATION with BREAKFAST 5775yen (tax included)

9:20 JR bus from JR Kyoto Station. The bus departs from Depot 3 at the Bus Terminal on the Karasuma side (=Kyoto Tower side ) of the station. Participants will arrive at the Earth Garden around 11:45, upon which they will enjoy an organic lunch in the permaculture surroundings.

This will be followed by a visit to the Farmhouse Museum--a great chance to learn about rural life-styles.

Day tour participants will take the 17:29 bus back to Kyoto City, changing buses at Shuzan. Arrival time at JR Kyoto will be 19:49)

Those staying overnight in MIyma-cho will walk to Bunka-mura, (35 minutes on foot), where they will have supper. After this they will return to the Earthgarden and stay the night.

Following breakfast at Earthgarden, participants will take the 7:46 bus to Ritsumeikan Univesity, arriving at 9:43.
