Description:
Many teachers are under immense pressure to prepare Can-Do statements that specify what aspects of communicative competence their courses are designed to develop, and clarify how students are assessed in relation to these statements. To explore this issue, Morten Hunke will discuss how the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages can be applied at the university level in Japan, and Yumiko Miyamoto will discuss assessment at the SHS level.
