In this session, we will explore a range of practical techniques for making effective use of movies and television programs in the language classroom, including:
- asking questions that facilitate strategy development;
- assigning simple tasks to make difficult video accessible;
- empowering students to use video programs for autonomous learning;
- preparing for the unpredictable: authentic English vs. textbook English;
- making use of additional authentic materials.
